Created in 1980 , it has been passed on through 3 generations. The Downing family started out raising livestock and gained experience in the transportation industry from hauling their livestock. They decided to start transportating general freight to make ends meet when the market for livestock was slow. Little did they know that it would grow to what it is today. Now Downing Transportation has grown to a fleet of 50 trucks, 52 drivers, and 23 office employees. Still keeping the business family oriented, Downing Transportation has grown strong personal relationships with customers and vendors throughout the Transportation Industry.
